What To Bring To the Breath, Body, and the Page Retreat - March 28-29
You’re In.
Welcome to Breath, Body, and The Page.
Payment Received Your spot is officially reserved for our upcoming retreat at James Monroe’s Highland. We are honored that you have chosen to spend this weekend with us.
You should receive a receipt from PayPal in your inbox shortly. Please keep that for your records.
IMPORTANT: Dietary & Accessibility Needs
We are committed to making this retreat welcoming and accessible to all bodies. Because we are catering lunch and operating on a historic site, we need a little information from you to ensure your comfort.
Please email us at andi@andilit.com with the subject line "Retreat Accommodations" to let us know:
-
Dietary Restrictions: Do you have any specific allergies or dietary needs (Gluten-Free, Vegan, Dairy-Free, Nut Allergies, etc.)?
-
Accessibility Needs:
-
Terrain: Please note that James Monroe’s Highland is a historic site. While our main indoor spaces are accessible, some outdoor activities may involve grass, gravel paths, or uneven ground.
-
Support: If you require specific accommodations (e.g., wheelchair access, preferred seating near the front/exits, or modifications for the yoga practice), please let us know so we can prepare the space for you.

Dates: Friday, March 28 & Saturday, March 29 Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Both Days) Location: James Monroe’s Highland (Gathering point details will be emailed closer to the date).
Preparing for the Weekend
To ensure you get the most out of our time together, here is a checklist of what to pack.
1. Yoga Gear Please bring your own yoga mat. If you have props you love (blocks, a strap, or a blanket for seated work), feel free to bring them. Note: If getting up and down from the floor is difficult for you, let us know in your email so we can have a sturdy chair available for seated modifications.
2. Comfortable Clothing Dress in layers! March weather at Highland can be unpredictable. You will want clothes that allow you to move freely during yoga but keep you warm during seated writing sessions.
3. Writing Tools Bring whatever allows you to flow best—whether that is a favorite notebook and pen or a laptop. Note: If you bring a laptop, please ensure it is fully charged, as outlet access may be limited in certain historic spaces.
4. Walking Shoes We may utilize the grounds for inspiration or walking meditation. Please bring shoes suitable for grass or gravel paths.
5. Hydration Please bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
6. An Open Mind We are doing deep work. Bring a willingness to explore new movements, new ideas, and the edges of your creativity.
Food & Drink Reminders
-
Breakfast: We will have coffee, tea, and pastries/bagels ready for you at 9:00 AM.
-
Lunch: A catered lunch is provided on both days (Please email us your dietary needs!).
-
Saturday Dinner: We hope you will join us for the optional "pay-your-own" dinner at a local restaurant on Saturday evening. We will finalize the location and take a headcount on Saturday morning.
What Happens Next?
You are all set! We will send a final email about one week before the retreat with final directions, parking instructions, and any last-minute updates.
If you have any urgent questions before then, please email us at andi@andilit.com.
We look forward to writing and moving with you.
