Feel a bit isolated in your writing life? Eager to get some encouraging but specific feedback on your work in progress? Want a bit of accountability in your writing life?
Join my Writing Community to connect with me and other writers in an atmosphere of accountability, support, and encouragement.
Supporting One Another
A life of writing can be an isolating experience. It can be hard to figure out how to improve our own work, find other folks who “get it,” and make progress on our writing projects. Sometimes, the world of the writer is very lonely. I certainly know that from experience.
If I could, I’d have you all over to my farmhouse once a week, and we’d talk and eat baked goods and read each other’s work. But alas, most of you don’t live near me, so . . .
I have launched an Online Writing Community for writers who want to get weekly prompts, receive feedback on their writing, and be a part of an online writing group.
Our main goal here is to support one another as we move through our days as writers.
I hold an MA in Literature and an MFA in creative writing, and I was a college writing professor for 10 years. (Read more about my credentials here.) What I’ve learned in those experiences is that as writers we need guidance, accountability, and support. As a member of our Online Writing Community, you will receive all of those things.
FREE Weekly Writing Nudges via email. Sometimes these notes will be prompts about ideas on which to write; sometimes they will be simple words of encouragement; sometimes they will be lessons on craft. I’ll decide what to send based on what’s happening in our community at the time.
FREE Private Facebook Group. All members will be added, if they wish, to our Private Facebook group, where we’ll share articles we’ve read and pieces we’ve written, give each other encouragement, and have some formal accountability with weekly goal-setting and goal-check-ins.
The community is open to writers of all genres – poetry, fiction, journalism, creative nonfiction, screen plays, etc – and to writers of all experience levels.
Maybe someday, you can all come visit. Until then, we’ll work together online. It’s not a bonfire or a comfy sofa, but I’ll do my best to make you feel at home.
