My dad is a tree farmer. My mom is a tree lover. My brother and I grew up being able to identify most basic types of trees by just looking at their leaves and bark. We even knew we could “brush our teeth” with birch branches. So when I walk or drive around, what I usually notice before I see houses or major bodies or water or even other traffic (scary, I know) are the trees. Here today, then, is a tribute to trees. These strong giants who teach us about being rooted and reaching toward the Light.
