This challenge comes from 1330V – and it’s a great one. Pick a favorite quote and post it, so here’s mine. It’s from Lee Martin’s great memoir From Our House:
“Now I see us, there in the golden wheat, the sun setting red in the sky, both of us chewing the grain, and I think, it should have been enough, this communion; it should have been enough to forgive every sharp world and violent lash that had preceded it.
But it wasn’t.” (p. 156)

Such a beautiful sentiment in such perfect language for a farm story about abuse and love.
