A short post this week because I haven’t read much, what with the craziness of finals.

But I did finish Javatrekker: Dispatches from the World of Fair Trade Coffee, which I am reviewing for The Environmental Blog , so you can read about that inspiring book there soon.

I am still creeping through Lisa See’s Peony in Love. I’m not moving slowly because it’s not good, but because since it’s my pleasure reading, I leave it for bedtime . . . well, you know how that goes sometimes.

I’ve read a lot of student portfolios this week; they are my favorite part of the semester in terms of grading because they let me see what my students have learned about writing.

Other than that, I just keep planning my reading – I turn in grades on Wednesday at 10am – and then I’ll be off and running through reading with a frenzy like a wildfire. More next week.
