Tayari Jones has asked me to let all of you know about an EBay Auction to support the victims of Dunbar Village in Florida, who were raped and tortured. (See Tayari’s original post about the auction for more information.) Tayari started a great auction where you can get some wonderful writing-related stuff, including a manuscript critique by her (that’s amazing if you’re a fiction writer), a signed Natasha Tretheway book, and some other wonderful stuff.

So I’m off to bid, and I hope you will, too. And if you do, post a comment here, and I’ll draw a winner from all the bidders and giveaway a copy of Cotton Field of Dreams, a memoir by Janis F. Kearney, President Bill Clinton’s diarist.

The auction ends tomorrow, so don’t dawdle.

Thanks for the heads up and a way to make change, Tayari.
